Abstract:

Art, one of the most important supporters of the creative and productive thinking ability, carries a power that understands life and leaves it out of unity. The power of art becomes meaningful by being a role model for the students of contemporary teachers in all fields; art and their lives are the basis for the education of wealthy individuals and the formation of an aesthetic society. It can be said that teachers who are not only limited to field and professional knowledge, but also educate themselves in cultural dimensions, who can develop a versatile view of the world by feeding the power of art, are likely to become an ideal role model. In this context, this study focuses on the question of what are the relationships of teachers candidates in different disciplines with art and their perspectives of art. The participants of the study were formed by 115 teachers candidates who continue to study in the last class in the departments of the University of 9 September Buca Education Faculty, English Language Education, German Language Education, French Language Education and Music Education Anabilities. In the study using the scan model, the data was collected by a form of question consisting of closed and open-end questions. For the data obtained from closed questions, illustrative statistics were used, and for the data obtained from open end questions, content analysis was applied. The findings are that the teaching candidates who are studying in different fields are unable to establish a strong enough relationship with the different branches of art, and in general they are unable to become part of their art life.
