Abstract:

Home care services appear as an application that aims to delay individuals coming to institutional care as much as possible and support them in their environment before coming to institutional care. Disabled home care services include efforts to meet the needs of the disabled people in their home. Disabled home care pension, on the other hand, is cash assistance that paid regularly every month to his/her relative to fulfill the responsibility of care. In this study, first of all, the concept of home care, the need for home care service, the purpose of home care service and the legislative basis of this service are mentioned. Afterwards, different problems that can be encountered in home care service and home care pension applications are discussed. Evaluations and solution proposals for the problems are discussed from the perspective of current practices, disabled individuals, caregivers and practitioners. In this study, it is aimed to evaluate many different issues such as providing home care services to disabled individuals, income criteria, legislative regulations, social inquiries, quality of practitioners, needs of caregivers, etc. Finally, in the light of the evaluations many suggestions have been presented to improve the quality of service delivery by eliminating possible problems in applications.
