Abstract:

The purpose of this work is T.C. The Department of Dental Medicine of the Army University is aimed at assessing the awareness of patients applying to the Anablim Department of Oral, Dental and Dental Radiology on dental implants. The study was conducted by 387 (227 women, 160 men) patients of 18 years of age with the participation in the survey. The already selectively standardized survey form, which also includes the demographic structure, has been filled by patients. The statistical assessment of the results is made using frequency distribution and ki-core test. Results: 66.7 percent of participants (258) were diagnosed with dental implant awareness. In our study, the relationship of dental implant awareness with the educational state has been statistically meaningful (p<0.05). 51.6 percent of participants with dental implant consciousness were identified as "dental doctors" in the information source. 86.6% of all participants that they wanted to learn information about the implants from their dentists. According to the report, 56.2 percent of participants with awareness said they did not want implant treatment, while 6.6 percent said they did not want implant treatment, and 37.2 percent said they were unstable. Results: Within the limits of our study, it has been found that the reason for individuals being uncertain about implant treatment is because they have not enough knowledge about this. Therefore, training programs should be organized in order to increase patient awareness of implants. Keywords:Dental implants, missing teeth, awareness, survey
