Amaç: Çalışmamızın amacı kişisel gelişimin ve örgün eğitimin en üst basamağı olan üniversite eğitiminin genç yetişkinlerin kendileri ile ilgili cinsellik konularına, başkalarının seçimlerine, toplumsal bir konu olan imam nikâhına bakış açılarını, cinselliğe dair tutumları ve cinsellikle ilgili mitler üzerine etkilerini değerlendirmektir. Gereç ve Yöntem: BU çalışma için hazırlanmış olan anketin yanısıra standardize bir ölçek olan Cinsel Mitler Ölçeği, Mersin Üniversitesi 1. ve 4. sınıf öğrencilerine uygulanmış, sonuçları karşılaştırılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmamıza 337 1. Sınıf ve 329 4. Sınıf öğrencisi toplam 666 öğrenci katılmıştır. Katılımcıların %54.1’i kadın, %45.6’sı erkektir. Üniversite eğitiminde geçen sürecin cinsel mit ve tutumlara pozitif yönde bir etkisi olduğu belirlenmiştir. İlerleyen yaş, olgunlaşan ilişkiler, bireysel gelişim, araştırma, bilgiye daha kolay erişme gibi faktörler de etkili olmuştur. Sonuç: Üniversite yaşamının cinsel tutumları değiştirici ve cinsel mitleri azaltıcı etkisi olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Sonuçların toplumsal önlemler almak, yeni politikalar üretilirken yol gösterici olmak açısından fayda sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.
Purpose: The aim of our study is to evaluate the influence of university education, which is a sub-stage of personal development and superior education, on the sexual issues of young adults, on the choices of others, on the views of the Imam marriage, which is a social issue, on their attitudes towards sexuality, and on the myths related to sexuality. Tools and Methods: In addition to the survey prepared for this study, a standardized scale, the Sex Myths Scale, applied to Mersin University 1st and 4th grade students, the results were compared. We are working on 337. Class and 329. A total of 666 students participated in the class. 54.1 percent of participants are women and 45.6 percent are men. The process of university education has been determined to have a positive impact on sexual myths and attitudes. Factors such as advanced age, mature relationships, individual development, research, easier access to information have also been effective. The conclusion: The university life has been concluded that it has a alterative effect on sexual attitudes and reducing sexual myths. The results are thought to be beneficial in terms of taking social measures and being guided when new policies are produced.

Factors such as advancing age, maturing relationships, individual development, research, and easier access to information were also effective. Conclusion: University life has a positive effect on changing sexual attitudes and reducing sexual myths. The results are beneficial in terms of taking social measures and guiding new policies.
