So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

Investigating the Knowledge and Attitude Related to Foot Care of Diabetic Patients Objective: This study was carried out to examine the knowledge, attitude related to foot care of diabetic patients. Methot: This study included 568 patients with diabetes mellitus who were hospitalised in endocrine unit. Research group of this study is composed of 74 patients which are determined by power analyis and simple random sampling. During the analysis of data, frequency, percent value, standart deviation, average, t-test and chi square test are used. Results: The mean age of the patients in the research group was 64.10±12.06  years,   54.1% of them was male and 29.7% was illiterate. 75.7% of the patients detected in diabetic chronic complications of the foot and 33.8% had a history of foot wounds. 16.2% as you request do foot exercises 41.9% of them check their foot, 48.6% of them apply moustuirising cream on their foot, 5.4% of them heat their cold fot via iron, 4.1% of them heat their cold foot by waiting in hot water, 73.0% of them cut their nails straight, 74.4% of them choose shoes that fits their shoes appropriately, 43.2% of them walk naked foot. HbA1c levels were higher in individuals with diabetic foot disease. (p=0.035).There is no a meaningful positive relation between getting education about diabetes and foot story(p=.160). Conclusion: In conclusion, it was found that the patients with diabetes mellitus did not got enough information about the diabetic foot and practice their the diabetic ulseration and blood HbA1c levels of patients are much higher than the target value. It is necessary for patients to be observed more closely by diabetes nurses, to found diabetic foot unit and to educate diabetes team , patients and family of patients
