Küreselleşme ve sanayileşme sonucu artan ticaret hacmi ve insan hareketliliğinin sebep olduğu taşımacılık faaliyeti, ekonomik ve sosyal açıdan toplumların gelişmesine katkı sağlamakta, bununla birlikte çevresel bakımdan dünya ekosistemini tehdit eden sera gazı emisyonlarına kaynaklık etmektedir. Bu çalışmada, sera gazı emisyonlarının dünyada ve Türkiye’deki durumu değerlendirilerek, karayolu yük ve yolcu taşımacılığının söz konusu emisyonlar üzerindeki etkisi ve yıllar itibariyle seyri ortaya konulmuştur. Sonrasında ise daha mikro ölçekte Konya ilinin 2010-2018 dönemi karayolu yük ve yolcu taşımacılığından kaynaklı sera gazı emisyonu IPCC tarafından önerilen hesaplama yöntemlerinden Tier 1 kullanılarak hesaplanmıştır. Söz konusu hesaplama yöntemi için gerekli yakıt tüketim miktarları EPDK tarafından yayınlanan yıllık sektör raporlarından elde edilmiştir. Yapılan hesaplamalar, il bazındaki karayolu yük ve yolcu taşımacılığından kaynaklı sera gazı emisyonunun toplamda 2010 yılından 2018 yılına kadar %87, kişi başına düşen emisyon oranının ise %70 arttığını ve sadece 2014 yılında bir önceki yıla göre azalış, diğer tüm yıllarda ise bir artış olduğunu göstermektedir. Dünya ülkelerinin önceliğine aldığı konuların başında yer alan iklim değişikliği ve küresel ısınma ile mücadele kapsamında, karayolu yük ve yolcu taşımacılığının çevresel etkilerini azaltıcı tedbirler bu çalışmada belirtilmiş ve Konya ilinde bu kapsamda yürütülmekte olan çalışmalara ve önerilere yer verilmiştir.
As a result of globalization and industrialization, the increased volume of trade and human mobility, the transportation activity contributes to the development of societies economically and socially, while environmentally leads to greenhouse gas emissions that threaten the world’s ecosystem. In this study, the state of greenhouse gas emissions in the world and in Turkey was assessed, the impact of road cargo and passenger transport on the emissions and the course of the years. The emissions of greenhouse gases from road cargo and passenger transport in the period 2010-2018 in the more micro-scale of the province of Konya were calculated using Tier 1 from the calculation methods recommended by the IPCC. The amount of fuel consumption required for the calculation method is obtained from the annual sector reports published by the EPDK. The calculations made show that the total greenhouse gas emissions from road cargo and passenger transport in the province from 2010 to 2018 increased by 87% and the per capita emissions rate increased by 70% and only in 2014 a decrease compared to the previous year, and in all the other years a increase. In the framework of climate change and global warming, which are the top topics the world’s countries are taking priority, measures to reduce the environmental impacts of road cargo and passenger transport have been specified in this study and included in the studies and recommendations that are being carried out in this framework in the province of Konya.

The calculations show that the greenhouse gas emissions from road transport on the provincial basis increased by 87% from 2010 to 2018, and the emission rate per capita increased by 70% and in all the calculation period, except 2014 this rate has been increased. Within the scope of combating climate change and global warming, which is one of the top priority issues of the world countries, measures to reduce the environmental impacts of road transportation are stated in this study and the activities carried out in this context in Konya province and suggestions are also included.
