Yet under the age of 20, the young Turkish Republic were faced the Second World War before realizing its economic reforms. The struggle of a very tough foreign policy period has been overcome successfully by implementing active neutrality and stability policies. However, difficulties have been encountered in domestic politics, especially in the area of economics. The efforts to survive faced tremendous criticism from time to time. Economic measures taken were in the focal point of these critics. The “National Protection Law” which has been adopted in January, 1940 and the “Wealth Tax” which has been entered into force by November, 1942 have caused contreversy to the present day. On the one hand, some sight thought that these implementations were quite right and just, on the other hand, they have been described as unfair and cruel. Disregarding the exact conditions of that period as well as the reasons for judgement, certain jurisdictions has been made by prejudice. The right and wrong sides of the Turkish Government’s decisions could not be evaluated appropriately. At this point, the necessity of a wider examination appeared for these mentioned laws enacted
