XX. yüzyılın Cihan Edebiyatı ve Türk Edebiyatı Dünyası’nın kıymetli kalemlerinden biri olan Cengiz Aytmatov; Kırgızistan Edebiyatı’nın en önemli ulusal yazarlarındandır. Devlet memur olan babası yokedildikten sonra yetim kalan Aytmatov İkinci Dünya Savaşı’nın yokluk yıllarında sert şartlarda çalışmak zorunda kalan fedakâr annesi tarafından büyütülmüştür. Cengiz Aytmatov; eserlerinde dile getirdiği milletine ait olan efsane, destan, masal, hikâye ve diğer edebî türlerin vasıtasıyla Kırgız’ın yaşadıkları tasvirli anlatmalarıyla öne çıkarmaktan ziyade okuyuculara canlandırmasını başarmıştır. Bilhassa; eserlerinde eski Sovyet Birliği döneminde Kırgızistan’ın yaşadığı toplumsal trajediyi zengin kalemiyle kâğıda dökmüştür. Bunu da Aytmatov’un Cemile adlı hikâyesinde savaş esnasında eşi ön cephede olan Cemile’nin gelenek ve göreneğe aykırıolan aşk sergüzeştini anlatmaktadır. Bu yasak aşk hikâyesi töre, evlilik ve aşk üçlü zor çatışma mücadeleleri üzerine kurgulanmıştır. Aytmatov, Cemile adlı eserinde savaş dönemi ve sonrasında toplumun içine düştüğü zorlukları ve bu güçlüklerin toplum üzerinde bıraktığı aktif ve pasif tesirleri ustalıkla anlatmaktadır.
The XX. Cengiz Aytmatov, one of the most valuable poems of the century’s Cihan Literature and the Turkish Literature World, is one of the most important national writers of Kyrgyz Literature. Aytmatov, who was a state officer after his father was destroyed, was raised by the victim's mother, who was forced to work under severe conditions during the years of the absence of World War II. Cengiz Aytmatov has managed to revive the readers by means of the legend, narrative, fairy tale, story and other literary genres that belong to the people he has spoken in his works, rather than by highlighting Kyrgyz with the picturesque stories they live in. In particular, in his works, the social tragedy of Kyrgyzstan during the former Soviet Union was put on paper with a rich pen. This is also the story of Aytmatov’s story named Cemile, which describes Cemile, who was on the front of his wife during the war, as a violation of the tradition and pattern of love.
