Abstract:

Anadolu, Asya ve Avrupa arasında köprü konumundadır. Dolayısıyla çeşitli kavimlerin göçlerine sahne olmuş ve çok sayıda uygarlığı bünyesinde barındırmıştır.  Başta Doğu Anadolu’nun üzerinde cereyan eden olaylar muhtasar olarak incelenmiş ve buna bağlı olarak da bölgenin demografik yapısı gözden geçirilmiştir. Ancak bölgenin 14 ve 17. yüzyıllar arasına ait nüfusla ilgili fazla araştırma yapılmadığından bilgilerimiz oldukça sınırlıdır. Bu yüzden bölgenin nüfusu ile ilgili verilen bilgiler bir tahminden öteye gidememektedir.

Abstract:

Anatolia is a bridge between Asia and Europe. Consequently, it has witnessed the migrations of various tribes and incorporated with many civilizations.  Mainly, the events that took place in South Anatolia region were shortly reviewed and the demographic structure of the area was studied correspondingly. However, our knowledge of the population is limited as there is not much of survey in  the region between 14th and 17th centuries. Therefor, the information given about the region is just an estimation.
