Okul Sporlarında Alınan Disiplin Cezaları ve Nedenlerinin Fair Play Çerçevesinde İncelenmesi

Bu çalışma, beden eğitimi öğretmenlerinin ve sporcu-öğrencilerin okul sporları kapsamında almış oldukları disiplin cezalarının fair play açısından incelenmesini amaçlamaktadır.  Araştırma grubunu, Ankara ilinde 2012-2017 yılları arası okul sporları kapsamında disiplin cezası almış olan 172 sporcu-öğrenci ve 43 beden eğitimi öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veri kaynağını oluşturan birincil veri kaynakları, nitel araştırma deseninin doküman analizi yöntemi ile incelenmiş; öğretmen ve öğrencilerin disiplin cezası almalarına neden olan sebepler ve branşlar belirlenerek cezaların yıllara göre dağılımı yüzde ve frekans değerleri ile verilmiştir. Branşlara göre ceza oranlarına bakıldığında; sporcu-öğrencilerin en fazla futbol ve futsal branşlarında, beden eğitimi öğretmenlerin ise sırasıyla en fazla voleybol, futbol ve futsal branşında ceza aldıkları, görülmektedir. Disiplin cezaları sebepleri bakımından incelendiğinde; öğretmenlerin en fazla cezayı “izinsiz dış görevden” aldıkları görülürken, “küfür ve hakaret” cezası ikinci sırayı almaktadır. Öğrencilerde ise en fazla cezayı “küfür ve hakaret" cezası oluştururken, bu durumu “yarışmaların devamına engel olmaktan” alınan cezalar takip etmektedir. Öğrencilerin ve öğretmenlerin aldıkları disiplin cezalarının çoğunluğunu (%64.3) teşkilata karşı işlenen suçlar oluşturmaktadır. Branşlar açısından değerlendirildiğinde, takım sporlarının ceza alınan branşların tümünü oluşturduğu ve ayrıca, alınan cezalarda bir geçen yıla oranla artış olduğu görülmektedir. Sonuç olarak, beden eğitimi ve spor derslerinin bir yansıması olarak okul sporlarının karakter gelişimine etkisi göz önünde bulundurulduğunda elde edilen bulguların düşündürücü düzeyde olduğunu söylemek mümkündür. Geçmişten günümüze karakter eğitiminin gelişimi için bir araç olarak kullanılan sporun yine aynı mahiyette kalması beklenirken, cezaların yıldan yıla artması gerekli tedbirlerin alınmasını şart koşmakta ve bu kapsamda okul sporlarının gençleri fair play davranışlarına yönlendirecek biçimde şekillenmesi gerekli görülmektedir.

This study aims to examine the disciplinary penalties that physical education teachers and athletes-students have received in the field of school sports in terms of fair play.  The research group consists of 172 athletes-students and 43 body education teachers who have received disciplinary punishment in the field of school sports between 2012 and 2017. The primary data sources that form the data source in the research were studied by the method of document analysis of the quality research model; the reasons and branches that led to teachers and students to receive disciplinary punishment were determined by the year-by-year distribution of punishments and the frequency values. If you look at the penalties rates according to branches, it is clear that athletes-students are the most punished in football and football branches, while body training teachers are the most punished in volleyball, football and football branches, respectively. When disciplinary punishments are examined in terms of reasons; teachers find the most punishment from "unautorized external duty", the punishment of "courage and insult" takes the second place. Students, while the most punishment is the punishment of "courage and insult", this situation is followed by the punishments taken "from the continuation of disputes". The majority of the disciplinary punishments that students and teachers receive (64.3%) are crimes committed against the institution. When assessed from the point of view of branches, it appears that team sports make up all the branches punished and also that the penalties received increased compared to the previous year. As a result, it is possible to say that the findings obtained when taking into account the impact of school sports on character development as a reflection of body training and sports courses are at a reflective level. While the sport used as a tool for the development of character education from the past to the present is expected to remain in the same position again, increasing the penalties from year to year requires the necessary measures to be taken and in this context it is necessary to form school sports in a way that will guide young people to fair play behavior.

This study aims to examine the disciplinary penalties of physical education teachers and athletes-students in terms of fair play with 172 athletes-students and 43 physical education teachers who received disciplinary punishments within the context of school sports between the years of 2012-2017 in Ankara. The data were examined through document analysis; the reasons causing the punishments of teachers and students and branches were determined and the distribution of the penalties by year was given by percentage and frequency values. Penalty rates indicate that athletes-students have most punishments in the branches of volleyball, football and futsal, whereas physical education teachers have most punishments in volleyball, football and futsal (respectively). When the reasons of disciplinary punishments are examined, students have the most punishments about swearing and insulting, and followed by punishments for preventing the continuation of the competitions, while teachers are reported to have the most punishments from unauthorized external duty and followed by punishments received from swearing and insulting. Most of the punishments are due to crimes committed against the organization (64.3%). Due to the nature of team sports, the number of punishments has increased compared to the previous year. While the sport, used as a tool for the development of character education, is expected to remain the same, the increasing penalties make the necessary measures essential, and in this context, school sports should be shaped in such a way as to direct the youth to fair play behaviors.
