Bu araştırmada 2000-2022 (Ağustos) yılları arasında yapılmış, erken çocukluk döneminde piyano eğitimine ilişkin çalışmaların incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma nitel bir araştırma olup betimsel içerik analizi yöntemi benimsenmiştir. YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi, Ulakbim, Tr Dizin veri tabanlarında; tüm yılları kapsayacak şekilde; okul öncesi eğitimde piyano/piyano eğitimi, ilkokulda piyano/piyano eğitimi, ilköğretim piyano/piyano eğitimi gibi anahtar kelimeler kullanılarak toplamda 36 çalışma amaçlı örneklem yöntemi kullanılarak incelenmiştir. Tezlerin; yayınlandıkları yıl, lisansüstü dereceleri, bağlı oldukları üniversite / enstitü, kullandıkları yöntem ve çalışma gruplarına göre, makalelerin ise; alan, yöntem ve çalışma gruplarına göre içerik analizleri yapılmış, betimsel olarak frekans ve yüzdeleri tablolar halinde sunulmuş ve yorumlanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler sonucunda; yüksek lisans tezlerinin sanatta yeterlik/doktora tezlerine, makalelerin de tezlere oranla daha fazla olduğu, en fazla çalışmanın 2019 yılında yapılmış olduğu, tezlerin büyük çoğunluğunun Eğitim Bilimleri Enstitüsüne bağlı olarak yayınlandığı, en fazla tezin Gazi Üniversitesi’nde yapıldığı ortaya çıkmıştır Ayrıca, araştırmacılar tarafından belirtilen yöntemin çoğunlukla nitel yöntem olduğu görülse de yöntemlerin belirtilmesi ile ilgili eksiklikler olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır. Çalışma grupları açısından incelendiğinde ise; makalelerde çocuklar ve eserler daha çok kullanılırken, tezlerde eğitimcilere daha çok yer verildiği görülmüştür. Sonuç olarak erken çocukluk yıllarını kapsayan dönemde piyano eğitimi ile ilgili yapılan çalışmaların, oldukça sınırlı düzeyde kaldığı görülmektedir. Alan uzmanları ve sanatçıların, verimli bir ortaklıkla; deneysel çalışmalar yaparak, etkili uygulamaya yönelik yöntemler geliştirmelerinin bu alana katkı sağlayabileceği düşünülmektedir.
This study aims to study the studies of piano training in early childhood, conducted between 2000 and 2022 (August). The study is a qualitative research and the method of visual content analysis is adopted. YÖK National Thesis Center, Ulakbim, Tr Dizin in the databases; in order to cover all years; in pre-school training piano/piano training, in primary school piano/piano training, in primary school piano/piano training, with a total of 36 study-based sampling methods being studied using keywords. The theses; the year they publish, the graduate degrees, the university / institutes to which they are affiliated, according to the methods and working groups they use, and the articles; the field, methods and working groups according to the content analysis, the frequencies and percentages are represented and interpreted in tables. The results of the obtained data have found that the master’s theses are more than the qualification/doctoral theses, the articles are more than the theses, the majority of the studies have been done in 2019, the majority of the theses have been published according to the Institute of Education Sciences, the majority of the theses have been made at the University of Gazi. When studied from the point of view of the work groups, it was seen that children and works were more used in the articles, while teachers were more placed in the theses. As a result, the studies on piano training in the period covering early childhood years appear to be quite limited. It is believed that the field experts and artists, with an efficient partnership; by conducting experimental studies, developing methods for effective application can contribute to this field.
In this study, it was aimed to examine the studies on piano education in early childhood between 2000 and 2022 (August). The study is a qualitative research that adopts descriptive content analysis method. In the YÖK National Thesis Centre, Ulakbim, Tr Index databases; covering all years, using keywords such as piano/piano instruction in preschool education, piano/piano education in primary school, primary piano/piano education a total of 36 studies were examined by using the purposive sampling method. Content analyses of the theses were made according to the year they were published, graduate degrees, university/institute were they were conducted, methods, study groups, and content analyses of the articles were made according to the field, method, study groups, and interpreted according to frequency values and presented in tables. As a result of the data obtained; it was revealed that master's theses were more than proficiency in arts /doctorate theses, articles were more than theses, a maximum of studies were conducted in 2019, the majority of theses were published under the Institute of Educational Sciences, and the highest number of theses were conducted at Gazi University. In addition, although it was seen that the method specified by the researchers was mostly qualitative method, it was concluded that there were deficiencies related to the specification of methods. When analysed in terms of study groups, it was seen that children and compositions were mostly used in articles, while educators were mostly used in theses. As a result, it is seen that the studies on piano education in the period covering the early childhood years remain at a very limited level. It is thought that a fruitful partnership between experts and artists can contribute to this field by conducting experimental studies and developing methods for effective practice.
