Cumhuriyet dönemi Türk edebiyatının önemli yazarlarından olan Afet (Muhteremoğlu) Ilgaz,romanlarında dinden tasavvufa, siyasetten tarihe, sanattan aşka kadar çok çeşitli konularlaokuyucunun karşısına çıkar. Yüzyıllar boyunca edebiyatın önemli konularından biri olan aşk,yazdıklarıyla yaşadığı çağa şahitlik eden Afet Ilgaz’ın romanlarına da konu olur. Çalışmadaaşk konusunun yazarın romanlarında ele alınış biçimi irdelenmiş ve yazarın bahsi geçen konuyayaklaşımı ile aşkın roman kişileri tarafından nasıl algılandığı verilmeye çalışılmıştır. Budoğrultuda yazarın romanlarını konu bakımından sınıflandıran kısa bir girişten sonra yazarınromanlarında aşk, ihanet ve ahlâkî çarpıklık ele alınmıştır.
Afet (Muhteremoğlu) Ilgaz, one of the important writers of Turkish literature in the Republican period, is faced with a variety of subjects from religion to tasavvufa, from politics to history, from art to love. For centuries, love, which is one of the important topics of literature, is also the subject of the novel of Afet Ilgaz, who witnesses the age with which they live. In the study, the subject of love was discussed in the writer's novels and the writer's reference to the topic and how the love was perceived by the romantic persons. After a short entry that classified the writer's novels in terms of subject, the writer's novels discussed love, betrayal and moral disappointment.
