Abstract:

In planning, the basin approach is based primarily on the essence that these units host different ecosystems. Every swimming pool on earth is separated from the other swimming pool with its own properties. Therefore, there is no possibility that the findings and measures presented for one pool are applied exactly to another pool. The pool management is a process of directing and organizing the use of the natural resources it hosts, in particular, to provide the desired products or services, without the negative impact of soil, water and biological (flora and fauna) resources. Distant from variable differences such as administrative, political or economic; the natural (geological-geomorphological-hydrographic) separation-based pool limits are a suitable unit in terms of conservation of natural resources and planning of sustainable uses. In this sense, it is more realistic to rely on the pool scale in the management of natural resources. The pool system, which is theoretically highly suitable for planning, can also create some challenges at the planning stage. Especially due to the multi-dimensional and interdisciplinary nature of the pool concept, it faces complex problems. In Turkey, swimming pool-based planning has begun with more erosion, healing and development-focused work, and continuing with the support of public institutions, today has become swimming pool protection action plans.
