Kanun’a göre kanuni bir grev, buna karar vermiş olan taraf tara-fından alınan bir kararla sona erdirilebilir. Sona erdirme kararıgeç ertesi iş günü sonuna kadar yazı ile karşı tarafa ve görevli makama bildi-rilir. Grevin sona erdiği görevli makam tarafından işyerinde ilan edilir. Kanuni grev, ilanın yapılması ile sona erer. Ayrıca grev kararı alan veya uygulayan sendikanın herhangi bir nedenle kapatılması, feshedilmesi veya infisah etmesi hallerinde grev kendiliğinden sona erer. Belirtilen durumlarda işçi sendikasının almış olduğu yetki belgesi hükümsüz kalır. Grevi uygulayan sendikanın yetki tespiti için başvurduğu tarihte işyerin-deki üyesi işçilerin dörtte üçünün sendika üyeliğinden ayrıldıklarının tespiti halinde, ilgililerden biri grevin sona erdirilmesi için mahkemeye başvurabilir. Mahkemece belirlenecek tarihte grev sona erer. Bu düzen-leme ile grevin etkisiz kaldığı varsayılan durumlarda hâkimin müdahale-siyle grevin sona erdirilmesinin sağlanması amaçlanmıştır.
