Günümüz Türk Resminde Minyatür Sanatına Çağdaş Yaklaşımlar
2020

Abstract:

In this study, the aim of contemporary Turkish artists is to study the orientations to the miniature art, which is called the palace art, and the works they do in this style with a literary work. In this context, the research, with the synthesis of the contemporary world between the east and the west, combines the images of this art to us, addressed our artists who form their own style. In fact, each artist is a subject of research on its own, while studying the artists involved in this study is focused on their narrative styles that are just close to the miniature. Although some are not among us, most of these artists who continue to work today have been considered important in their works to be a merely focused on the miniature style, in terms of research and field research. Abstract:

Miniature art is a traditional painting art with a rich and deep meaning in Anatolia, which has a deep-rooted Turkish culture. Miniature works describing historical festivities, wars and expeditions in Turkish culture have been handled in a realistic style, unlike the examples in other Islamic countries. This feature of Turkish miniatures, besides telling us about the tradition and dressing of the period in which it was made, also gave us the opportunity to follow Turkish history. In this context, each of the Miniature works is a unique historical document. In this study, it is aimed to examine the paintings similar to contemporary Turkish miniature art with a literature study. In this research, our artists who created a unique style by combining the unique images of this art with the synthesis of the modern world between east and west were examined. In fact, since each artist is a subject of research on his own, while examining the artists in this study, only the narrative styles that are close to the miniature are we focused. Although some of them are dead, most of them are still working today, and they focus on their miniature style in their works, and therefore the field is considered important for research. In the research, “literature review” and “art work analysis” were chosen as methods. Considering the limitations of the subject, within the scope of the research, the works of 9 painters such as Devrim Erbil and Yurdaer Altıntaş were examined, and how they reflected traditional miniature art in style, color and content were evaluated.
