Günümüzde ilk bilimsel tefsir çalışmalarının Gazzâlî ile başladığı ve Fahreddin er-Râzî ile de sistemli bir hale geldiği anlayışı mevcuttur. Bu çalışmada ise bunun böyle olmadığını ortaya koyma amacıyla günümüze ulaşmış ilk tam tefsir olan Muḳātil b. Süleymân’ın et-Tefsîru’l-kebîr’inde birtakım âyetlerin dönemin bilimsel verileri ışığında açıklandığı yani bilimsel tefsir yapıldığı izah edilmeye çalışıldı. Böylece ilk dönemlerden beri müfessirlerin kendi dönemlerindeki bilimsel verileri de dikkate alarak tefsirlerini oluşturdukları gösterilmeye gayret edildi. Ayrıca metot olarak karşılaştırma metodu kullanılıp Muḳātil b. Süleymân’ın tefsiri son döneme ait bazı tefsirlerle mukayese edilerek bazı bilimsel nitelikli âyetlerin yorumunda ilk ve son dönem arasındaki benzerlikleri ve farklılıkları ortaya koyulmaya çalışıldı. Çalışmanın diğer bir amacı ise bazı müfessirlerin birtakım âyetleri asıl bağlamından koparmamak maksadıyla ellerinde bilimsel veriler olsa dahi bu verileri kullanmaktan kaçındıklarını göstermektir.
Today, it is understood that the first scientific interpretation studies began with Gazzali and became systematic with Fahreddin er-Râzî. In this study, the first full interpretation to be reached to the present day with the aim of revealing that this is not the case, was attempted to explain in the et-Tefsîru’l-Kebîr of Muḳātil b. Suleiman that a number of verses were explained in the light of the scientific data of the period, meaning that the scientific interpretation was made. Thus, from the beginning of the period, the inspectors were trying to show that they had their interpretations, taking into account the scientific data in their own periods. It is also used as a method of comparison and Muḳātil b. The interpretation of Solomon was compared with some of the interpretations of the last period and some of the interpretations of scientific qualitative verses were attempted to reveal the similarities and differences between the first and last period. The other purpose of the study is to show that some inspectors are avoiding the use of these data, even if they have scientific data in their hands, in order to not break some of the verses from the original context.
Today, there is an understanding that the first scientific tafsir studies started with Gazzali and became systematic with Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī. In this study, Muqatil b. Suleiman, the first complete exegesis to date, to demonstrate that this is not the case. It was tried to be explained that some verses in Muqatil b. Suleiman's al-Tafsir al-Kabir were explained in the light of the scientific data of the period, that is, scientific tafsir was made. Thus, it has been tried to be shown that the commentators have formed their tafsir since the first periods by taking into account the scientific data in their own period. Also, as a method, comparison method is used and Muqatil b. Suleiman. The interpretation of some of the scientific verses was tried to reveal the similarities and differences between the first and the last period by comparing the tafsir of Muqatil b. Suleiman with some of the recent tafsir. Another aim of the study is to show that some commentators refrained from using this data even if they have scientific data in order to keep their verses out of their original context.
