Bu araştırmanın amacı Türkiye’de iki devlet üniversitesinin fen fakültelerinin matematik bölümlerinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin tükenmişliklerini kariyer stresleri bağlamında incelemektir. Araştırmada gerekli izinler alındıktan sonra her iki üniversiteden toplamda 245 öğrenciye uygulama yapılmış ve veri toplamak amacıyla tükenmişlik envanteri-kısa versiyonu ve kariyer stresi ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde öncelikle ölçekler için basıklık ve çarpıklık katsayıları ve Cronbach Alpha güvenirlik katsayıları hesaplanmıştır. Ardından verilerin analizinde Pearson korelasyon katsayısı ve aşamalı regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre matematik bölümü öğrencilerinin tükenmişliklerinin cinsiyet değişkenine göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde bir farklılaşmanın olmadığı bulunmuştur. Diğer elde edilen bulguya göre matematik bölümü öğrencilerinin tükenmişliklerini kariyer stresinin alt boyutlarından olan iş bulma baskısı ve dışsal çatışma değişkenlerinin anlamlı bir şekilde yordadıkları bulunmuştur. Elde edilen bulgular alanyazın kapsamında ele alınmış, tartışma yapılmış ve bazı önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The aim of this research is to study the exhaust of students studying in the mathematics departments of two state universities in Turkey in the context of career stress. After obtaining the necessary permissions in the study, a total of 245 students from both universities were applied and the extinction inventory-short version and the career stress scale were applied to collect data. The analysis of the data obtained first calculated the pressure and confusion ratings for scales and the Cronbach Alpha reliability ratings. Then the analysis of the data used the Pearson correlation ratio and stage regression analysis. According to the findings from the research, the mathematics department found that the extinction of students was not statistically significantly differentiated according to the gender variable. According to other findings, the mathematics department has found that the student’s extinction is significantly overwhelmed by the job finding pressure and the external conflict variables, which are the lower dimensions of career stress. The findings obtained were discussed in the field, discussed and some suggestions were made.
