Bu çalışmada Kırklareli Müzesi envanterinde bulunan M.S. 6. yüzyıldan 12. yüzyılın üçüncü çeyreğine kadarki döneme ait yedi adet kurşun mühür sigillografik olarak ilk defa incelenmiş ve değerlendirilmiştir. Bu materyalin bir kısmı satın alma yoluyla bir kısmı da kaçakçıların elinden mahkeme kararıyla istirdat edilmek suretiyle müze envanterine girmiştir. Kırklareli Müzesi’ndeki sigillografik materyalin ait olduğu şahıslar Theodora Komnena (11. yüzyıl), Nikephoros Kontostephanos Komnenodukas (12. yüzyıl), protospathariοs ve Makedonia Theması stratēgosu Theodoros (11. yüzyıl), protoproedros ve doux Konstantinos Opos (11. yüzyıl sonu-12. yüzyıl başı), hypatos ve Thessaloniki eparchosu Agallianos (9. yüzyılın ilk yarısı), Anonim bir şahıs (11. yüzyılın son çeyreği) ve Kleméntos ya da Komentiólos (6.-7. yüzyıl)’tur.
In this study, seven lead seals dating from the 6th century to the third quarter of the 12th century in the inventory of the Church Museum were examined and evaluated sigillographically for the first time. Some of them came as acquisition to Krklareli and some were taken from smugglers and confiscated by the local court. The sigillographic materials in the Museum are dated from the 5th to the 12th c.), an Anonymous person (last quarter of the 11th c.) and Kleméntos or Komentiólos [6th-7th c.). and century.
