Abstract:

This study was designed to determine the mediating role of work stress in the effect of VUCA environment perception, which expresses the volatile, ambiguous, complex and ambiguous work environments faced by healthcare professionals during the Covid-19 process, on the burnout levels of employees. For this purpose, scales for the purpose of the research were used in the study. The research was carried out by reaching 387 people out of 2368 employees working in a training and research hospital that carries out its activities in accordance with the affiliation regulation in the province of Erzincan, by online and face-to-face methods. In order to analyze the collected data, the relationship between the research variables and the mediation role were evaluated using the AMOS 23 application and the SPSS PROCESS MACRO model 4.According to the results of the research, a statistically significant and positive relationship was found between VUCA environment perception and burnout, VUCA environment perception and work stress, and work stress and burnout variables. In addition, it was determined that job stress had a mediating role in the relationship between VUCA environment perception and burnout.
