Amaç: Bu araştırma üniversite öğrencilerinin şiddete yönelik tutumlarını ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Tanımlayıcı türde olan bu araştırma, 1 Kasım 2018-15 Ocak 2019 tarihleri arasında Akdeniz Üniversitesi Kumluca Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi ve Kumluca Meslek Yüksekokulu’nda öğrenim gören 293 öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Verilerin toplanmasında tanıtıcı bilgi formu ve Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği, değerlendirilmesinde SPSS 22,0 programı kullanılmıştır. Analizinde MannWhitney U, Kruskal Wallis varyans analizi ve Spearman Korelasyon analizi uygulanmıştır.Bulgular: Öğrenciler Şiddete Yönelik Tutum Ölçeğinden toplam 215,83±23,96 puan almıştır. Ölçeğin alt boyutlarından en yüksek ortalama şiddetin türleri boyutuna, en düşük ortalama ise şiddetin farklı boyutlarına aittir. Öğrencilerin cinsiyet, kız/erkek arkadaş varlığı, sigara ve alkol kullanımına göre şiddete yönelik tutumlarının değiştiği bulunmuştur p0,05 .Sonuç: Üniversite öğrencilerinin şiddete yönelik tutumlarının şiddeti onaylamama ve kabul etmeme yönünde olumlu olduğu saptanmıştır. Cinsiyet, kız/erkek arkadaş varlığı, sigara ve alkol kullanımı şiddete yönelik tutumları etkilemektedir. Üniversitelerde şiddet konusunda bilinçlendirme çalışmalarının ve öğrencilere yönelik bağımlılık yapıcı madde kullanımı konusunda rehberlik ve danışmanlık hizmetlerinin artırılması önerilebilir
Purpose: This research was conducted with the aim of determining the attitudes and influencing factors of university students towards violence.Counts and Methods: This research, which is a defining type, was conducted with 293 students studying at the Kumluca Health Sciences Faculty of the Mediterranean University and the Kumluca Professional High School between 1 November 2018-15 January 2019. In the data collection, the indicative information form and the measurement of the Violence Attitude, the SPSS 22.0 program was used in the evaluation. In the analysis, MannWhitney U, Kruskal Wallis variance analysis and Spearman Correlation analysis were applied.Discussions: Students received a total of 215.83±23.96 points from the scale of attitude towards violence. The highest of the lower dimensions of the scale belongs to the size of the types of violence, and the lowest of the average belongs to the different dimensions of violence. Students have found that their attitudes towards violence varied according to gender, girl/man friend, smoking and alcohol use p0,05 .The result: University students have found that their attitudes towards violence are positive in the direction of not accepting and accepting violence. Sex, girl/male friendship, smoking and alcohol use influence the attitudes towards violence. It may be recommended to increase awareness studies on violence in universities and guidance and consultancy services on the use of addictive substances to students
Objective: This study was conducted to determine the attitudes of university students towards violence and the influencing factors.Material and Methods: This descriptive study was conducted between November 1, 2018 and January 15, 2019 with 293 students studying at Akdeniz University Kumluca Faculty of Health Sciences and Kumluca Vocational School. The data collection form and the Attitudes Towards Violence Scale were used to collect the data and the SPSS 22.0 program was used for evaluation. The Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis variance analysis and Spearman correlation tests were used in the analysis.Results: It was found that the students had a total of 215.83±23.96 points from the Attitudes Towards Violence Scale. The highest mean score from the scale sub-dimensions was for the types of violence and the lowest for different dimensions of violence. It was found that students' attitudes towards violence varied according to gender, special friendship, smoking and alcohol use p0.05 .Conclusion: University students' attitudes towards violence were found to be positive for not acknowledging and accepting violence. Gender, special friendship, smoking and alcohol use influenced the attitudes towards violence. It may be recommended to increase awareness activities about violence in universities and to increase guidance and counseling services on the use of addictive substances for students
