Abstract:

The human son preferred the tent to be easily installed and convenient to move, as well as to be protected from external factors. The earliest examples of tents made with mammoth bones, wooden and animal leather were found in 44 thousand BC. It is also known that tents with many different designs also serve multiple purposes. For these purposes, there are military flights. These tents, designed according to the needs of the armies, show differences within themselves. The tents designed for the king, ranked and non-rated soldiers who participate in the trips are distinguished from each other in terms of characteristics. In this study, information was given about the development of the tent, also discussed before the Asur Kingdom Period. The main topic of our topic is the tents used in the military flights of the New Asyrian Kingdom. It appears that the tents studied taking into account written texts and visual art works are discussed in two titles: the structure of the skeleton, the comfort, the satisfaction of daily needs and the functional characteristics of "Simple Tents" and "King Tents". These tents were attempted to be described by repairing in the light of visual art works. In light of the above characteristics, the tents are thought to be made within the framework of a certain plan to facilitate the daily lives of the kings and soldiers and to minimize the negative effects of the season. In our work, the tents of the New Asyrian Kingdom will be addressed with a new perspective.
