Environmental and genetic factors play an important role in the pathogenesis of Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma. Clinically this tümör is frequently with its regional or peripheral metastases. Although Undifferentiated Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma is a radiosensitive tumor, 3 year survival rate is between % 50-70. Presence of p53 gene mutation in undifferentiated Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma is signifıcant. However, it seems likely that p53 expression is not only limited to gene mutations but also epigenetic factors. in this study we have evaluated presence of S-100 positive dentritic cells and positivity for p53 in 25 cases of nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Ages distribution was between 3-70 years. 16 cases were histologically undifferentiated and 6 of them were immunohistochemically positive for p53. S-100 positive dentritic cells were present in 6 cases..
