Between the delightful, ethereal heroine of Drossini's novel and the enigmatic Madam Ersi of Pentzikis's, there is not only one generation and three decades of history separating the symbols, the authors and the works, but also a whole different world outlook and its narratives in the literary text which clash and interact continually.Looked at from the food reference point of view, real or symbolic, the relationship between the two novels allow for a better visibility of their latent structures which invite the reader to a new acquaintance with the works as well as with their respective creative process.
