Günümüzde seçmeli dersler, artık okul programlarının bir parçası olarak yer almaktadır. İlk ve ortaöğretimde seçmeli ders çeşitliliğinin sağlanması sonrasında idareciler, öğretmenler, öğrenciler ve veliler ile seçmeli derslerin seçimi hakkında araştırmalar yapılmıştır. Ancak yükseköğretim öğrencilerinin bu konudaki görüşleri inceleme konusu yapılmamıştır. Üniversite öğrencilerinin, ileride öğretmen olma durumlarından dolayı ve öğrencilik sürecinde seçmeli derslerle muhatap olmaları nedeniyle, ilköğretim ikinci kademe seçmeli dersleri hakkındaki yaklaşımlarını tespit etmek gerekli görülmüştür. Bu amaçla tarama modelinde basit seçkisiz yöntemle örneklem oluşturulmuş ve hazırlanan anket katılımcılara uygulanmıştır. Çalışma neticesinde katılımcılara göre, öğrencilerin seçmeli dersler hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadıkları tespit edilmiştir. Üniversite öğrencilerinin %50,2’si seçmeli dersin seçiminin öğrenciye bırakılmadığını ifade etmiş, %78,7’si seçmeli derslerin faydasına inandıklarını belirtmişlerdir. Din, Ahlak ve Değerler Alanı Seçmeli Dersleri olan Kur’an-ı Kerim (%52,1), Siyer (%40) ve Temel Dini Bilgiler (%41,6) derslerini seçeceklerini yüksek oranlarda ifade etmeleri, araştırmanın bir başka verisidir. Derslerin tercih edilme sebebi olarak ise öğrencilerin %29 oranının çeşitli değişkenler açısından gerekli gördüklerini, %26,5’lik bir oranla da dini sebeple tercih ettiklerini beyan etmişlerdir.
Optional courses are now included as part of school programmes. After the provision of a variety of eligible courses in the first and secondary schools, research was carried out on the choice of eligible courses with administrators, teachers, students and guardians. However, the opinions of high school students on this issue were not examined. Because university students, due to their future conditions of becoming teachers and being interacted with optional courses in the student's process, it has been necessary to identify their approaches to second-degree optional courses in primary education. For this purpose, the sample was created and prepared in the scan model with a simple unselective method and applied to the survey participants. As a result of the study; according to the participants, it was found that the students did not have sufficient knowledge about the selective courses. 50.2 percent of university students said that the choice of optional courses was not left to the student, and 78.7 percent said they believed the benefit of optional courses. Religion, Ethics and Values Area Selective Courses of the Qur’an (%52.1), the Qur’an (%40) and the Basic Religious Knowledge (%41.6) are expressed in high rates, is another data of the study. As a reason for the preference of the classes, 29% of students claim that they consider it necessary in terms of various variables, and 26.5% of students claim that they prefer religious reasons.
Today, elective courses are now as a part of school programs. After providing the diversity of elective courses in primary and secondary education, researches were conducted on the selection of elective courses with administrators, teachers, students and parents. However, the views of higher education students on this subject were not examined. It is necessary to determine the approaches of university students about primary and secondary level elective courses due to their status as a teacher in the future and because they are subject to elective courses in the process of studentship. For this purpose, the sample was created by simple random method and the questionnaire was applied to the participants. As a result of the study; According to the participants, it was determined that students do not have enough information about elective courses. 50.2% of university students stated that the choice of the elective course was not left to the student, and 78.7% stated that they believed in the benefit of the elective courses. It is another data of the research that they express their choice of the courses of Quran (52.1%), Siyer (40%) and Basic Religious Studies (41.6%) which are elective courses in the field of Religion, Ethics and Values. They stated that 29% of the students considered it necessary in terms of various variables as a reason for preferring the courses, and they preferred a religious reason for 26.5%.
