Abstract The impact that emigration has caused in family, economic, political, social and cultural dynamics, it is interesting and relevant at a time. The development of this sociological research intends to examine, in combination, the variables 'migration, family and gender', having in mind the gender as a cross-sectional analysis variable, because it offers a relational view, that takes into account how, women and men, experience the consequences of migration in a different way, and includes a historical overview to study the relationships of power and subordination, its causes and effects in each context.
