As a result of the researcher's own observations and later interviews with the students and teachers as well as researches in the field, it has been understood that the foreign students, coming to Turkey for higher education, cannot acquire full academic and conceptual knowledge of their field within the context of language learning and therefore they experience some problems. From this point forth, in order to determine the academic language needs of foreign students and to develop solutions, Turkish academic concept acquisition process for foreign students has been planned based on the field research and student needs. In order to test the skills planned in the process and enable the students to gain them, academic texts, course teaching plans, a list of skills / acquisition, academic concept lists and activities were developed. A twelve -week teaching process is planned for the implementation of the developed content. The implementation of the instructional package was carried out in the action research model in the context of qualitative research. During the process analysis researcher's journals identified as data collection tools, student journals, course video recordings, student activity papers are used. When the data obtained during the course of the action were subjected to the descriptive analysis and interpreted; it has been seen that the teaching material and its contents are effective, students make progress in concept acquisition and they are very satisfied with the implementation process. It has been concluded that the academic concept teaching process developed for the academic achievements of foreign students within the scope of the study is extremely useful and necessary.
