Abstract:

The study was conducted to determine the risks that health workers face in hospitals, measures taken against the risks, employees’ training requirements and expectations from the hospital management, and to evaluate their identifying characteristics. The study was conducted on two health workers working in the state hospital in Tekirdağ province. The data was collected through the survey form and analyzed using the SPSS 23.0 for Windows package program. It has been found that the most stress and infections in the work environment have a negative impact on their health, they are exposed to diseases, professional and mental trauma. There is no written warning in the electrical arrangements and no cover in the prizes. There was a significant difference in employee's perception of professional risk in terms of receiving service training. It has also found a significant difference between the employee's feelings of safety against risks in the work environment and the level of training, professional experience and the working time spent (p<0,05). As a result, employees have been determined to be exposed to stress, infections, professional and mental trauma in hospitals. In the work environment there are preventable risks caused by the hospital. The risk perception of employees varies according to some identifying characteristics.
