Modern düşünce Aydınlanma düşüncesinin bir sonucudur. Aydınlanma çağının devamı olan modern düşüncede, bir varoluş şekli olarak, insan değeri düşünmenin odak alanında yer almaya başlar. Antik çağlardan beri, Batı sanatının ana unsuru olan figüratif hareket keskin ve çarpıcı bir özgünlükle modern sanatla yeni bir boyut kazandı. Bu yeni tarz, modern sanatın şekillenip ifade kazanmasında ve dönemin düşünsel gelişiminde öncü rol oynadı. Nesnel varlığın özündeki birlik nasıl atomlara dayandırılıyorsa, insan yaşamının birliği de Rönesans’tan itibaren gelişen “Hümanizm” ile insana dayandırılmaktaydı. Modern zamanların heykel yapıtlarında görülen, yürüme eylemi içindeki heykel imgeleri, modern düşüncenin seyrini ve yönünü göstermeleri bakımından önemlidir. Bu imgeler, onları modern yapan tarzları ve yapıldıkları zamanda, zamanın ruhunu gösteren eserlerdir. Bu anlamda, modern sanat düşüncesinin nasıl bir düşünceye yöneldiğine işaret ederler. Sanatta yürüme hareketi, doğal hareketin betimlenmesi yanında, sanatçının tarzını da özelde gösteren bir eylemdir. Bazen bu tarz dönemin sanat diline dönüşebildiği gibi yaşanılan çağın bir göstergesi de olabilir. Yürüme yaşamda ilerlemek, ilerlerken duygu ve düşüncelerimizin seyrini değiştirmenin eylemsel bir yolu. Yaşanan dönemin düşünce dünyası, ruh hali nasılsa, yürüme de ona göre şekillenir. Yürümenin bu şekillerini, düşünsel yaşamın bir yansıması olarak sanat yapıtlarında görürüz. Bu makale, günümüz sanatına zemin oluşturan, modern sanat tarzını ve modernle değişen insan değerini Auguste Rodin’in Yürüyen Adam heykeli, Fütürist sanatçı Giacomo Balla’nın Uzayda Sürekliliğin Eşsiz Formları, isimli Yürüyen Adam Heykeli ve Alberto Giacometti’nin Yürüyen Adam Heykelleri üzerinden gösterilmesi amaçlanmaktadır.
Modern thought is a result of Enlightenment thought. In modern thought, which is the continuation of the Age of Enlightenment, human value, as a form of existence, begins to take place in the focus area of thinking. The figurative movement, which has been the main element of Western art since ancient times, has taken a new dimension with modern art with a sharp and striking originality. This new style played a leading role in shaping and expressing modern art and in the intellectual development of the period. Just as the unity in the essence of objective existence was based on atoms, the unity of human life was also based on human with the "Humanism" developed since the Renaissance. Sculpture images in the act of walking, seen in sculptures of modern times, are important in terms of showing the course and direction of modern thought. These images are works that show the style that makes them modern and the spirit of the time when they were made. In this sense, they point out what kind of thought the modern art thought is headed towards. The walking movement in art is an action that shows the artist's style in addition to describing the natural movement. Sometimes this style can turn into the art language of the period, or it can also be an indicator of the age in which we live. Walking is an actionable way to move forward in life, to change the course of our feelings and thoughts as we move forward. Just as the world of thought and mood of the period is, walking is shaped accordingly. We see these forms of walking in works of art as a reflection of intellectual life. This article aims to show the modern art style that forms the basis of today's art, and the changing human value with the modern, through Auguste Rodin's Walking Man sculpture, Futurist artist Giacomo Balla's Unique Forms of Continuity in Space, Walking Man Sculpture and Alberto Giacometti's Walking Man Sculptures.
