Tourism that rapidly developing in Turkey as in the world undertakes a very big role in solving of the payments balance deficits. The contribution of tourism is increasing in eliminating the current account deficit which is one of the most important problems of Turkey's economy, and especially the foreign trade deficit which resulting from this deficit. In this study, have put forward an empirical analysis to support the fact that tourism incomes are a positive effect in reducing the foreign trade deficit. For this purpose, using monthly data covering the period 1984-2010, the relationship between tourism incomes and the export-import of goods (foreign trade deficit) in Turkey was analyzed by Johansen cointegration test, error correction model and Granger causality method. According to empirical results obtained, a significant causality relationship was identified between tourism incomes and foreign trade deficit
