Klinik tablo ve etiyolojideki heterojenite nedeniyle serebral venöz sinüs trombozunun tanısı sıklıkla atlanır ve tanı konulsa bile genellikle subklinik olarak katkıda bulunan faktörler gözden kaçırılır veya göz ardı edilir. Tüm beyin damar hastalıklarının %1’ini oluşturan bu durum, sıklıkla genç erişkinlerde görülmekle birlikte izole baş ağrısından komaya kadar değişen heterojen klinik nedeniyle klinik tanı gecikebilir. Genetik olarak artmış protrombotik risk taşıyan bireylerde, kafa travması, doğum, sistemik infeksiyon gibi tetikleyici unsurların sinüs trombozuna yol açtığı gösterilmiştir. Bu yazıda, gen mutasyonu zemininde, yıldırım çarpma öyküsü, pnömoni ve olası merkezi sinir sistemi infeksiyonunun da komplike edici etkilerinin serebral venöz sinüs trombozunun ortaya çıkmasında rol oynadığı düşünülen bir olgu sunulmuştur.
Due to the heterogenity in the clinical picture and etiology, the diagnosis of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis is often missed, and even if diagnosed, the factors that contributed subclinically are often overlooked or neglected. This condition, which accounts for 1% of all cerebrovascular diseases, is often observed in young adults, but the clinical diagnosis can be delayed due to the heterogeneous clinics that range from isolated headaches to coma. In individuals with genetically increased prothrombotic risk, trigger elements such as head trauma, birth, systemic infection have been shown to lead to sinus thrombosis. In this article, on the ground of genetic mutation, the history of strike, pneumonia and the possible complicating effects of central nervous system infection are also considered to play a role in the development of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis.
