Dört temel dil becerisinden biri olan dinleme becerisi, anne karnında başlar, ailede kazanılır, daha sonra okulda ve yaşam boyu gelişerek diğer dil becerileriyle bütünleşip iletişim, öğrenme ve akademik başarı için büyük önem arz eder. Dinleme becerisinin geliştirilmesinde ilköğretim düzeyinde yapılacak çalışmalar dinlediklerini daha iyi anlayan, böylece sağlıklı iletişim kurabilen ve diğer dil becerilerini geliştirmede dinlediklerinden yararlanan bireyler yetiştirmek için önemlidir. Her bireyin birbirinden farklı bilişsel, duyuşsal ve devinişsel dinleme tutum ve alışkanlıkları vardır. Bireyler, geliştirdikleri tutum ve alışkanlıklar sonucunda çeşitli dinleme türleri ve stratejilerini kullanır. İlköğretim, temel dil becerilerinin gelişmesinde önemli bir süreçtir ve bu süreci etkileyen birçok faktör vardır. Dinleme eğitimi de bu becerilerden biridir. Bu araştırmada, ortaokul öğrencilerinin dinlemeye yönelik tutumları cinsiyete, sınıf mevcuduna ve sınıf düzeyine göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu Kars ili merkezde bulunan ve rastgele seçilen üç ortaokulun 5, 6, 7 ve 8. sınıflarında okuyan öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Ortaokul öğrencilerinin dinlemeye yönelik tutumlarının belirlemeye çalışıldığı bu araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veriler, Karakuş Tayşi ve Özbay (2016) tarafından geliştirilmiş olan Dinlemeye Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, T testi ve Kruskal Wallis-H testi yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, öğrencilerin dinleme tutumları, cinsiyet değişkenine göre bakıldığında, kız öğrencilerin lehine anlamlı bulunmuştur. Yine analiz sonuçları, sınıf mevcudu arttıkça dinlemede bireysel farklılıkların belirginleştiğini ve dinleme güçlüğünün arttığını göstermektedir. Sınıf düzeyine göre ise anlamlı farklılık görülmemiştir.

Hearing skills, one of the four basic language skills, starts in the mother's stomach, is gained in the family, then develops in school and throughout life, integrating with other language skills and attributes great importance to communication, learning and academic success. It is important to educate individuals who better understand the studies to be done at the primary education level in the development of listening skills, so that they are able to communicate healthy and benefit from their listening skills in the development of other language skills. Each individual has different cognitive, sensual and devineous listening attitudes and habits. Individuals use various types of listening and strategies as a result of their attitudes and habits. Primary education is an important process in the development of basic language skills and there are many factors that affect this process. Listening is one of these skills. This study aims to study the attitudes of high school students to listen according to gender, class presence and class level. The study group consists of students studying in the classes 5, 6, 7 and 8 of three randomly selected secondary schools located in the center of Kars. In this study, the scan model was used to determine the attitudes of high school students towards listening. In the study, the data was collected with the Hearing Attitude Scale developed by Karakuş Tayşi and Özbay (2016). In the analysis of the data, the T test and the Kruskal Wallis-H test were performed. In this study, the listening attitudes of students, given the gender variable, were found meaningful for the benefit of the girls students. Again, the analysis results show that the individual differences in listening are increasing as the class presence increases and the difficulty in listening increases. According to class level, there was no significant difference.

Listening skill, which is one of the four basic language skills, begins in the womb, is gained in the family, and then it is of great importance for communication, learning and academic success, integrating with the other language learning by developing at school and throughout life. In the development of listening skill, working in primitive studies is necessary to educate individuals who understand better what they listen to, who can communicate properly and benefit from what they listen to improve other languages. The individual has different cognitive, affective and psychomotor listening attitudes and habits. Individuals use various listening types and strategies among attitudes and habits in development. Primary education is an important process in the development of basic language skills. Listening training also consists of these skills. In this study, it is aimed that middle school students' attitudes towards listening will be made according to gender, class size and classification in the classroom. It is necessary to study the study group of the research in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades of three secondary schools randomly selected in the center of Kars. It tries to determine the attitudes of middle school students towards listening. It was collected with the Attitude towards Listening Scale conducted by Karakuş Tayşi and Özbay (2016). In the analysis of the data, it is under the T test and Kruskal Wallis-H test. This variable looks at the listening and listening attitudes according to the gender variable. Again, as the results of the analysis increased as the class size increased, the differences in listening became evident and the difficulty of listening increased. There was no significant difference compared to the classes.
