Functionalism, one of the fundamental theories of sociology science, began to be included in the studies of Comte, Spencer and Durkheim and Anthropologist Bronislaw Malinovski. In the American sociology tradition, T. Parsons believes that functionality should be assessed in the form of a system analysis by putting the comprehensive understanding of society in the forefront, has made a very serious contribution to functional theory. T. Parsons’s functional theory is based on concepts such as function, balance, system, structure and actor. These concepts have been established in the form of a system consisting of institutions that each performs its own function and the structures that are made up of the sub-systems in which they contain ensure their existence in a balance and ensure their continuity through various mechanisms. Parsons predicted that functional requirements would be possible through the integration function. Parsons’ concept of integration is actually the concept of “stress management”. While confirming Parsons’s socialist attitude with tension management, it also includes a message about social order with the concept. The functional theory examines the interaction between the organization and its surroundings at the level of recognition of organizations as objective facts. The main objective of the organizational theories is to “study the conformity of the organization with the environment in which it operates, the internal structures, processes and decision-making, and finally the conformity of the organization with other organizations within the integrity of the social system.” In this study, Parsons’ position in the functional theory, the responsibility of Parsons’ functional approach in the organizational theory, the extension to the organizational theory of the tension management concept which Parsons is based on the functional theory. The organization theory is aimed at determining the limits of the sense of voltage management in terms of Parsons’ functionality and functional integration that Parsons suggests in this context.
