Wireless Sensor Network applications that designed in accordance with international standards are used for different purposes in military, environment, home automation, health and other commercial spaces. Medical applications of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) that includes measurements about humidity, temperature, pressure, sound, light and movement sensors, which determines situational changes, are progressing rapidly day-by-day. Patients need to be monitored instantly and continuously without mobility restrictions. With the abilities supplied by the WSN, stationary or non-stationary patients can be included by the created network. In this study WSN applications, to treat on time on remote health monitoring systems and body area networks for patients, are researched. The advantages and disadvantages of the applications are investigated. Adaptation of these improvable systems to other technologies in hospitals are also discussed.
