Abstract:

A cultural phenomenon has been recognized as a science that has evolved depending on the development of technology in the last quarter of the 21st century. The general purpose of the study is to identify the academic orientations of the study of the various subjects in the field of communication science (mass culture, institutional image, political communication, marketing public relations, interpersonal communication) by studying the theoretical and methodological approach of the 5th doctoral thesis in the context of the scientific approach to identify how they contribute to their fields and guide the researchers. In this context, the conclusions of the field of work were presented in terms of communication. The theses discussed within the framework of the study have been reached through the National Thesis Center database of the Higher Education Council. The research is limited to 5 doctoral theses that deal with different topics related to the field of communication science between 1985 and 2020 and is analyzed from the methodological perspective of the theses discussed. In the study, the course of the studies in the field of communication and what the topics being studied were analyzed. The research has found that in communication research, depending on technology, the subjects evolve differently and have cultural and social effects.
