Türkiye’de Son 20 yılda gittikçe gelişen ve günümüzde tüm meslek grupları tarafından tanınır hale gelen “çatı bahçesi” kavramı, zaman içerisindeki çevresel eğilimlerin de etkisiyle bir değişim geçirmiştir. Peyzaj mimarlığı mesleği açısından oldukça önemli bir konu olan çatı bahçeleriyle igili zaman içerisinde gerçekleşen değişimler, bu bileşenleri estetik öğeler olmaktan çıkarmış, kentsel ekolojinin bir bileşeni haline getirmiştir. Bunun sonucunda günümüzde “yeşil çatı” ya da bitkilendirilmiş çatı” “yaşayan çatılar” gibi farklı terim kullanımları söz konusudur. Bu noktada, konuyla ilgili terim kullanımı ve Türkçede süregelen kavramsal farklılıklar çalışma kapsamında incelenmiştir. Aynı zamanda terim araştırmalarında bu bileşenlerin farklı uygulama biçimleri de araştırma kapsamına alınmıştır. Çalışma sırasında konuyla ilgili Türkçe akademik çalışmalar (kitap, makale, bildiri, araştırma projesi) YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezi, TÜBITAK Ulakbim Ağı, Google Scholar veri tabanı, üniversite kütüphaneleri ve sempozyum bildirileri ölçeğinde taranmıştır. Tespit edilen toplam 42 adet araştırma içerisinde, uluslararası kaynaklar da dikkate alınarak, konuyla ilgili terim kullanımı, bu terimlerin araştırma tiplerine göre dağılımı ve yıllar içerisindeki değişimler belirlenmiştir. Çatı bahçesi terimi mevzuatta da yer alan yerleşik bir terim olarak karşımıza çıkmakla birlikte, değişen eğilimler sonucu yeşil çatı ve bitkilendirilmiş çatı terimlerinin de gittikçe artan bir kullanım oranına sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Çalışma kapsamında önerilen terimler genel bir öneri amacı taşımakta, kesin ya da değiştirilemez bir sonuca varmayı hedeflememektedir. The concept of the "tower garden" in Turkey, which has evolved over the past 20 years and is now recognized by all the professional groups, has changed by the influence of environmental trends over time. Changes occurring over time with the roof gardens, which are a very important subject in the field of landscape architecture, have removed these components from being aesthetic elements, making them a component of urban ecology. As a result, different terms such as "green roof" or planted roof" and "live roof" are discussed today. At this point, the use of the term related to the subject and the continued conceptual differences in Turkish have been studied within the framework of the study. In the term research, different forms of application of these components have also been taken into the scope of research. During the study, Turkish academic studies related to the subject (books, articles, statements, research projects) have been scaned at the scale of YÖK National Thesis Center, TÜBITAK Ulakbim Network, Google Scholar database, university libraries and symposium statements. In a total of 42 studies, international sources have also taken into account the use of the subject-related term, the distribution of these terms according to the type of research and the changes in the years. While the term roof garden is also presented as a built-in term in the legislation, it appears that green roof and planted roof terms are also increasingly used as a result of changing trends. The terms proposed within the framework of the study are aimed at a general proposal, not aimed at achieving a clear or irreversible conclusion.
