Sosyal bir varlık olan insanın varlığını devam ettirebilmesi için çeşitli talep ve gereksinimleri mevcuttur. Bu talep ve gereksinimler Maslow tarafından sınıflandırılmış olup, bir kategoride yer alan gereksinimin yeterince karşılanmadan diğer basamağa geçilmeyeceği durumu söz konusudur. Maslow ihtiyaçları önem sırasına göre, fiziksel ihtiyaçlar, güvenlik ihtiyacı, ait olma ve sevgi ihtiyacı, değer ihtiyacı ve kendini gerçekleştirme ihtiyaçları olarak bölümlendirmiştir. Maslow’a göre her bir basamak diğer basamağa geçiş için basamak görevindedir. Çağımızın salgını olan Covid 19 (koronavirüs) ile birlikte ihtiyaçlar pramidi genişlemiş olup öncelik sırasında da değişikler meydana gelmiştir. Dijitalleşmenin ivme kazandığı çağımızda Covid 19 ile birlikte adeta pandeminin uzvu halini almıştır, denilebilir. Covid 19 virüs’ü birçok sektörü krize uğratan sosyal hayatı kısıtlayıcı tedbirler aldırtan ve dünya genelinde pandemiye neden olan salgın bir hastalıktır. Maslow’un hiyerarşileri ise insanların hayatta kalmak için gerekli olan ihtiyaçlarını temelden başlayarak sıralayan bir teoridir. Bu araştırma bizlere bu salgın hastalığın ihtiyaçlarımızı ne yönde etkilediğini nasıl değişimlere sebep olacağını karşılaştırmalı örneklerle ortaya koymayı amaçlamıştır.

Maslow has divided needs according to importance into physical needs, security needs, belonging and love needs, value needs, and self-realization needs. According to Maslow, every step is a step for the transition to the other. With the epidemic of our age, Covid 19 (coronavirus), the needs have expanded the pramidi and during the priority there have been changes. In our era, when digitalization has gained the momentum, Covid 19 has become the pathway of a pandemic, it can be said. Covid 19 virus is a epidemic disease that takes social life restrictive measures and causes pandemic worldwide. Maslow’s hierarchy is a theory that sets out the needs that people need to survive. This research aims to show us with comparative examples of how this epidemic disease will cause changes to how it affects our needs.
