Abstract:

In this study, the psychometric characteristics of the Turkish long and short form of the Mental Resistance Scale for Adults (EIZDÖ) were studied. The study collected data from two separate sampling groups (N 1 = 357, 54.6 per cent men, average age = 14.92, ss age = 2.09; N 2 = 307, 52.4 per cent men, average age = 14.97, ss age = 1.55) that included 11-18 years old high school and high school students. The results of the verifying factor analysis showed that the original structure of the EIZDÖ with six-factor six-factor single-factor short form with six-factor single-factor short form was verified in the target sample. The study found significant correlations between the long and short form of EIZDÖ and the total points of the Child and Young Psychological Sustainability Scale (CGPSO-12) . The long and short forms of EIZDÖ are Cronbach alpha ratings respectively .85 and . It is calculated as 72. Cross validity and reliability findings have supported the psychometric characteristics of the short form of EIZDÖ. According to the results of the multi-group verifying factor analysis, it has been determined that the short form of ADHD is not structural and metric depending on the developmental stages of adolescence and gender. The research results showed that the long and short form of EIZDÖ can be used as a valid and reliable measurement tool for evaluating the levels of mental endurance of 11-18-year-olds in educational environments in future studies. Research findings were discussed, limitations and recommendations were presented.
