Hızla küreselleşen ve dijitalleşen bir dünya, bireylerin algılarında ve yaşayış biçimlerinde yadsınamaz bir değişimi de beraberinde getirmiştir. Hayatımızın büyük bir alanını kapsayan sosyal medyanın getirdiği bu değişimlerin hepsinin pozitif yönde olduğu söylenemez. Şöyle ki yaşadığımız bu devrim niteliğindeki değişim birçok tartışmayı da beraberinde getirmiştir. Hiç şüphesiz bu konulardan bir tanesi de sosyal medya ile hezimete uğrayan mahremiyet algısıdır. Günümüzde sosyal medya kullanımının yaygınlaşması ve ulaşılabilirliğinin zahmetsiz olması mahremiyet kavramının medya üzerinden tartışılan etik bir konu haline getirilmesine zemin hazırlamıştır. Kişiden kişiye ve kültürden kültüre, değişebilen bir kavram olan mahremiyet olgusu, sınırlarının ve kurallarının belirlenmesi gündem konusu haline gelmiştir. Bireyler sosyal medyada neyin paylaşılabilir, neyin paylaşılamaz olduğu konusunda ki sınırlarını kaldırmış durumdadır. Özel, genel, açık, gizli fark etmeksizin her şey sosyal medya için bir dijital içerik değeri taşımaktadır. Bu bazen, kişinin kendi ürünüymüş gibi, giydirip süslediği çocuğu, bazen hasta yatağında en mahrem haliyle ameliyat sırası bekleyen annesi olabiliyor. Ne için? Bir beğeni, bir tık daha fazlası için mi? A world that is rapidly globalized and digitalized has also brought with it an inevitable change in the perceptions and ways of life of individuals. It is impossible to say that all these changes brought by social media that cover a large scope of our lives are in a positive direction. Thus, the change in the nature of the revolution we have experienced has brought many discussions with us. No doubt, one of these issues is the perception of privacy that is interfered with social media. Today, the spread of the use of social media and its accessibility has made the ground for the transformation of the concept of privacy into an ethical issue discussed through the media. From person to person and culture to culture, a concept of privacy, the determination of its limits and rules, which can be changed, has become the subject of the agenda. People have lifted their limits on what can be shared on social media and what can’t be shared. Everything, regardless of personal, general, open, secret, carries a digital content value for social media. This can sometimes be the mother who is waiting for the operation order in the patient’s bed, the child wearing and decorating as a person’s own product. For what? For a pleasure, for more? In the article where information about the privacy of individuals is trying to support the accuracy of the hypothesis that the dissemination of information about the privacy of individuals is threatened by the social media, the social media that facilitates many aspects of our lives is also questioned how it is disrupted. From this, the particular space, work and public space are under the headlines of privacy, the use of privacy through social media, human relations and privacy, an example case on the use of privacy in the world of popular individuals, the exhibition of privacy on social media and social media and privacy relationship.

Sometimes this can be the child who dresses and adorns as if it is one's own product, and sometimes it can be the mother who is waiting for the surgery in the most private way on the patient's bed. For what? For a like, a click for more? In the article, which tries to support the accuracy of the hypothesis that the dissemination of information about the privacy of individuals through social media poses a danger to the society, it is questioned how social media, which makes our lives easier most of the time, also defeats it.
