Abstract:

Erzurum’un en çok tanınan ziyaret mekânlarından olan Abdurrahman Gazi Türbesi’nde yatan zat kimdir? Tarihi kayıtlarda “Sahâbe-i Kiramdan Abdurrahman Gazi” diye belirtilen kimse gerçek bir şahsiyete tekabül etmekte midir? Daha önce konuyla ilgili yapılan çalışmaların hemen hemen hepsi türbe, zaviye, vakfiyeler ve burada çalışanlarla ilgili kayıt ve bilgilerden oluşmaktaydı. Bu makalede Erzurum’un fethi, Anadolu’ya ayak basan sahâbîlerin yanında özellikle Erzurum’da bulunmuş sahâbîler ele alınmıştır. Bunlar arasında ismi Abdurrahman olan ve Erzurum ile irtibatı olanlar araştırılmıştır. Daha sonra künyesi Abdurrahman olup kayıtlardaki nitelikleri taşıyan kimseler ele alınarak Abdurrahman Gazi’nin kimliğinin belirlenmesine çalışılmıştır. Does this person stated as ‘Abdurrahman Gazi, one of the high companions of Prophet Muhammad’ in the records, refer to a real person? Almost all of the studies done on this issue consisted of information about the tombs, zawiyahs, endowments and the people who worked in these places. In this article, the conquest of Erzurum and the companions of Prophet Muhammad who came to Erzurum as well as the ones who came to Anatolia are handled. Among these, the ones whose names were Abdurrahman as well as being related to Erzurum were researched. After this, by dealing with the ones whose personal record was Abdurrahman and who had the qualities mentioned in the records, the identity of Abdurrahman Gazi was tried to be determined.
