The aim of this study is to determine the vocabulary learning strategies of students who learn Turkish as a foreign language and to determine the relationship between their vocabulary learning strategies and their gender, nationality and age. The research was designed in accordance with the survey model. The study group consisted of 105 foreign students studying at various faculties of Karadeniz Technical University. 31.4 % of the students were female, 68.6 % were male; 61.9% between the ages of 18-23 years, 38.1 % 24 years and over; 49.5 % is Asian, 44.8 % is African and 5.7 % is European. In the study, ’Scale for Vocabulary Learning Strategies in Foreign Language’ developed by Kocaman and Kızılkaya Cumaoğlu (2014) was used. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 16 program. At the end of the analysis, it was found that students use memory strategies (X = 23.82), affective strategies (X = 20.50), social strategies (X = 19.20), cognitive strategies (X = 14.29), meta-cognitive strategies (X = 13.58) and compensation strategies (X = 12.32). It was determined that there was no significant difference between the students' vocabulary learning strategies and gender, nationality and age variables.
