The aim of this study was to compare the effect of warm-up performed in treadmill on lower-and upper limbs maximal strength. Twelve highly strength trained men performed a 1RM test to test their maximal strength in the exercises leg-press and bench-press.Afterwards, they performed two experimental conditions: warm-up (C-AQ) and no warm-up (S-AQ). In the condition C-AQ, a warm-up in the treadmill during five minutes in 9 Km/h were performed while in the condition S-AQ the warm-up were not performed. The data were normalized by Shapiro-Wilk test and tested by a paired Stutent-t test. A P value of <0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. The results showed there was no difference between the two conditions (S-AQ X C-AQ) in the exercises leg-pressand bench-press. In conclusion, a protocol of warm-up performed in a treadmill can not affect the maximal strength of lower and upper limb.
