Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to determine the perceptions of self-sufficiency of school managers. This research is in a cutting-edge scan model aimed at determining school managers’ self-sufficiency perceptions. The sample of the study is made up of a total of 408 school managers employed in the official schools in the province of Ankara in the 2019-2020 educational year. In this study, the "School Managers' Qualification Perceptions Scale" was used to measure the self-capacity perceptions of school managers. The measurement tool used in the study, in the course of the 2019-2020 academic year in May, data were collected by applying the necessary preliminary statement by the researcher to 408 school managers in the province of Ankara. School managers have a very high level of self-competence. School managers' educational leadership qualifications have shown a significant difference according to their perceptions, tasks, branch and school level variables. There is also no significant difference between the perceptions of self-sufficiency of the school managers in terms of gender and managerial scale variables. A number of supplementary training can be organized by collaborating with the universities for managers with a low level of management. In this study, the perceptions of self-sufficiency of school managers have been studied. Similar research can be carried out in relation to concepts such as self-sufficiency and exhaust, job satisfaction, organizational commitment.
