Abstract:

This study aimed to examine the usability of sugar beet pulp, which is a waste product of the sugar refining industry, as a fiber additive in Khorasan mortar. In this context, Khorasan mortar samples were produced by providing appropriate ratio optimizations of hydraulic lime, sand, brick chips, tile dust, and water, and sugar beet pulp was added in different proportions as a fiber additive to the mortar mixtures obtained. Then, the effects of sugar beet pulp on Khorasan mortar were determined by performing fresh mortar experiments and hardened mortar mechanical and physical experiments on mortar samples. As a result of the study; It was concluded that the use of sugar beet pulp in Khorasan mortar has a healing effect on the mortar properties, as well as being appropriate.
