Ord. Prof. Dr. Abdulkadir Lütfi Noyan assumed the duty of tarining between the years 1919-1929 in Gülhane Military Hygen and Preventive Medicine İnstitute which was founded in 1908. After graduating from Military Medical School, Noyan had served in several regions of Ottoman Empire. His mission was including manoeuvre, warfare and praxis activities and changing between battalion physician and army head physician. Noyan wanted to create a composition about Military Preventive Medicine by integrating the academic information and the experiences of his practical career. Thereby he established a comprehensive work about Military Hygiene. The book that Noyan described as “the result of my seventeen years of working time” was written by utilizing 44 domestic and 17 foreign resources. The book (514 paged) that he named “Military Sanitation” was published by Kader Press in İstanbul. We have tried to exhibit a profile of the history of “Military Preventive Medicine” by extracting the very valuable information about the history of military preventive medicine from Noyan’s book and by searching the sum of documents about The Preventive Medicine Services in Ottoman Army in World War One that were found in General Staff ATESE Administration Archives
