XVII. asırda İsmâil Rüsûhî-yi Ankaravî tarafından kaleme alınan Mesnevî Şerhi, Türk edebiyatında ayrı bir öneme sahiptir. Ankaravî, Mesnevî’ye yazmış olduğu şerh ile eserin daha iyi anlaşılmasını ve geniş çevrelerde okunmasını sağlamış ve bununla birlikte “Hazret-i Şârih” unvanını almıştır. İsmâil Rüsûhî’nin Mecmûʿatu’l-Letâyif ve Matmûratu’l-Maʿârif isimli eseri, altı ciltten oluşan (yedinci cildin varlığı tartışmalı) bir Mesnevî şerhidir. Ankaravî, seleflerinin eserlerini de inceleyerek geniş çapta bir şerh yazmış ve bu eserle tasavvufî düşünce dünyasını yansıtmaya çalışmıştır. Bunu yaparken de pek çok müelliften, eserden ve bazen adını da zikretmediği kaynaklardan faydalanmış ve şerhini bunlarla desteklemiştir. İzah ettiği düşünce ya da kavramlara da yapmış olduğu alıntı ve göndermelerle destek sağlamıştır. Bu çalışmada, Ankaravî tarafından Anadolu sahasında yazılan üçüncü tam şerh olan Mecmûʿatu’l-Letâyif ve Matmûratu’l-Maʿârif isimli eserin altıncı cildinde kullanılan kaynaklar, folklorik ve kültürel unsurlar incelenmiştir. Aynı zamanda şârihin şerhinde hangi kaynaklardan alıntı yaptığı ve hangi kaynaklara göndermelerde bulunduğu araştırılmış kullanmış olduğu kültürel ve folklorik unsurlar tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır.

It also has been investigated from which sources it is quoted and to which sources it is sent; cultural and folkloric elements it has been used have been tried to identify.
