Bu araştırmada Türkiye’de Eğitim Bilimleri alanında yapılan lisansüstü tez çalışmalarının çeşitli değişkenlere göre analiz edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, YÖK Ulusal Tez Merkezinde yayımlanan ve 2005-2020 yılları arasında Eğitim Bilimleri alanında yapılan yüksek lisans ve doktora tezlerinin tamamı araştırma kapsamında belirlenen kriterler doğrultusunda incelenmiştir. Tezler analiz edilirken, araştırma için belirlenen kriterler arasında “lisansüstü düzey”, “araştırma yılı”, “çalışıldıkları üniversite”, “çalışıldıkları bilim dalı”, “konu alanları”, “yazıldıkları dil” ve “yazarların cinsiyeti” gibi çeşitli değişkenler esas alınmıştır. Araştırma, bir alanda yapılmış tüm araştırmaların belirli kriterlere göre taranarak araştırma sonuçlarını sentezlemek ve özetlemek için geliştirilmiş bir araştırma yöntemi olan sistematik derleme yöntemiyle yapılmıştır. Ulaşılan tezlerin güvenilir bir şekilde incelenmesi amacıyla araştırmacılar tarafından elektronik bir tablo olan “Tez İnceleme Formu” geliştirilmiştir. Tablolara işlenen veriler frekans (f) ve yüzdelerden faydalanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre; tezlerin %84,22’si yüksek lisans tezlerinden, %15,78’i ise doktora tezlerinden oluşmaktadır. Lisansüstü tez çalışmaları yıllara göre sayıca inişli çıkışlı, kısmen düzensiz bir dağılım göstermekle birlikte genel olarak bir artış eğiliminin olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. İncelenen tez çalışmalarının 93 farklı üniversiteye dağıldığı görülmüştür. En fazla sayıda yüksek lisans tezinin Yeditepe Üniversitesi tarafından, en fazla doktora tezinin ise Ankara Üniversitesi tarafından yayımlandığı belirlenmiştir. Tezlerin bilim dallarına göre dağılımı incelendiğinde, en fazla tezin “Eğitim Yönetimi Bilim Dalı” ile aynı çatı altında toplanabilecek 17 farklı bilim dalında üretildiği belirlenmiştir. Yüksek lisans tezlerinin (%94,61) ve doktora tezlerinin (%92,74) büyük bir çoğunluğunun Türkçe dilinde yazıldığı tespit edilmiştir. Yüksek lisans ve doktora derecesinde kadınların erkeklerden daha fazla tez çalışmasının bulunduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ulaşılan istatistiksel sonuçlar tartışılmakta ve bazı öneriler sunulmaktadır.
In this research, it is aimed to analyze the graduate theses in the field of Educational Sciences in Turkey according to various variables. For this purpose, all of the master's and doctoral theses published in the YÖK National Thesis Center between 2005-2020 in the field of Educational Sciences were examined in accordance with the criteria determined within the scope of the research. While analyzing the theses, various variables such as "graduate level", "year of research", "university", "field of study", "subject area", "the language in which they were written" and "gender of the authors" were taken as basis among the criteria determined for the research. The research was carried out with the systematic review method, which is a research method developed to synthesize and summarize the research results by scanning all researches in a field according to certain criteria. A "Theses Review Form", which is an electronic table, has been developed by the researchers in order to reliably examine the reached theses. The data processed in the tables were analyzed using frequency (f) and percentages. According to the research findings; 84.22% of theses are master's theses and 15.78% are doctoral theses. Although the number of postgraduate theses studies show a fluctuating and partially uneven distribution over the years, it has been concluded that there is an increasing trend in general. It was observed that the theses studies examined were distributed to 93 different universities. It was determined that the highest number of master's theses were published by Yeditepe University, and the highest number of doctoral theses were published by Ankara University. When the distribution of the theses according to the disciplines is examined, it has been determined that the most theses are produced in 17 different disciplines that can be gathered under the same roof with the "Division of Educational Administration". It was determined that the majority of master's theses (94,61%) and doctoral theses (92.74%) were written in Turkish. It has been concluded that women have more theses studies than men in master's and doctorate degrees. The statistical results are discussed and some suggestions are presented.
