Abstract:

Faced with the migration crisis along with the Syrian civil war, on the one hand, Turkey has struggled with security risks due to the attacks of terrorist organizations. Turkey, which carried out military operations to clear terrorist organizations such as DAESH, PKK/YPG/PYD, which found movement in northern Syria and organized attacks on Turkey from this region, started to rebuild the region after successfully completing the operations. Turkey has effectively used humanitarian aid and humanitarian diplomacy in this process. The aim of this study is to investigate the humanitarian diplomacy practices carried out by Turkey in the regions cleared of terrorism in northern Syria. Qualitative research method was used in the study. According to the results, Turkey is the country that provides the most humanitarian aid in the world. The reconstruction of the regions cleared of terrorism in northern Syria is one of Turkey's successful examples of humanitarian diplomacy. Turkey, the country most affected by the civil war in Syria, has displayed an example of humanitarian diplomacy in northern Syria that will set an example for the whole world. The harmonious work of Turkey's public and civilian humanitarian diplomacy actors has been identified as one of the key points of success in humanitarian diplomacy.
