Lands of Kyrgyzstan are of great importance as an area of research on culture and history of medieval Turkic peoples, in particular, of the Karakhanids. Archeological findings and epigraphical and numismatic data are of special importance in discovering the cultural heritage of the Karakhanids. In this work, the * Dr., Kırgızistan-Türkiye Manas Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi (Bişkek), [email protected], [email protected] from the tombstones called Kyzyl-Jar (Osh), Tosor (Issyk-Kul), Kethuda (Chuy) and Atmakchi (Chuy), which were found during epigraphic and archeological investigations in Kyrgyzstan, are described. Moreover, on the basis of the inscriptions, some suppositions about social life of the Karakhanid period are made and notions about Turkic identity are presented.
