İmam Eş’arî ve Eş’arîlik Sempozyumu, Siirt Üniversitesi İlahiyat Fakül-‐‑tesi koordinatörlüğünde Siirt Valiliği ve Üniversite Rektörlüğü’nün destekle-‐‑ riyle 21-‐‑23 Eylül 2014 tarihleri arasında Siirt Üniversitesi Kezer Kampüsünde üç farklı dilde simultane tercüme ile birlikte üç farklı salonda gerçekleştirildi. Yerli ve yabancı yüze yakın akademisyen ve araştırmacının tebliğ ve müzakereleriyle gerçekleşen sempozyumun yurtdışı konukları arasında Yahya Michot, Oliver Leaman, Abdurrahman Amash, Abdurrahman Belik, Hammadi Dhouib, Mu-‐‑ hammed Hamza, Naci Shannuf, Muhammed Rashid Buğazele, Tevfik Mızari Abdussamed, Muhammed Zeki Molla Hüseyin el-‐‑Bervari ve Nuri Abdurrah-‐‑ man İbrahim gibi isimler vardı. Yurt içinden katkı yapan isimler arasında M. Saim Yeprem, Şerafettin Gölcük, Metin Yurdagür, Şaban Ali Düzgün, Mahfuz Söylemez, İbrahim Çapak ve Mehmet Evkuran olmak üzere uzman birçok aka-‐‑ demisyeni sayabiliriz.
