Introduction: Football is a high intensity activity with intervals of aerobic and anaerobic exercises where the feeding of the players has a fundamental role in their performance and recovery. Objective: To identify the nutritional profile of football players under 17 of Busque Futebol Clube, from Vale do Itajaí. Methodology: This study has a transverse descriptive character, with quantitative analysis. The participants were sub 17 players from a football team from Vale do Itajaí, Santa Catarina, aged between 16 and 17 years. For the research development, it was elaborated a three days per week food diary, with alternating days of training and game, aiming to define the eating habits. To define the body composition there were collected data such as age, weight, height, perimeters and skin folds. The food diary analysis was performed through the DietWin Software and anthropometric evaluation verified through the 1968 Faulker's protocol. Results: Athletes had a mean BMI of 21.82 kg / m² and a fat percentage of 11.70%, and these values were classified as adequate for adolescents. Regarding food intake, an average intake of 1,460.83 kcal/day was identified, less than that recommended for athletes. In relation to macronutrient consumption, a mean carbohydrate intake of 4.51 g/kg/weight, protein 1.53 g/kg/day, and lipid content of 1.23 g/kg/weight were found. Regarding the consumption of micronutrients the intake of vitamin C, calcium and magnesium was insufficient, while zinc and iron were above the adequate recommendation. Discussion and Conclusion: In relation to the anthropometric profile of the athletes, it was adequate for sports practice, but the athletes' food analysis showed insufficient caloric intake in relation to the consumption of macronutrients and some micronutrients.
